Who is Itziar Ituno? | Biography
Itziar Ituno was born on June 18, 1974 in Basauri / Spain. Itziar, who is a theater lover, studied at Basauri Theater Stage for education. He then graduated from Basque University, Department of Urban-Industrial and Political Sociallogy.
His career
Itziar Ituno’s first television experience was Agur Olentzero, Agur (Farewell Olentzero, Farewell). He learned the Basque language at the age of 19 and thus took part in TV series productions.
On March 3, 1999, she was featured in Goenkale, the most popular soap opera of that period, shot in the Basque region of Spain. In the series, she gave life to the character of Nekane Beitia, a lesbian woman living in the town of Arralde. The Goenkale series died in 2015 due to the decrease in ratings. Itziar became a very popular actress in Spain thanks to this series.
His first professional film experience was the Loreak movie he starred in in 2015. He then appeared in the movie Igelak in 2016. It brought its fame out of the Basque region with the Antena 3 series purchased by Netflix. He then appeared in the first season of the TV series La Casa de Papel as Inspector Raquel. In the third season of the Itziar series, he got the name Lisbon by joining the team. Thanks to this series, he managed to make his name internationally.
In addition to acting, Itziar Ituno also took part as a vocalist in groups such as Dnagiliske, EZ3 and INGOT. In this way, the actress combines her television and theater studies with music.
On August 26, 2017, he became the gala presenter at one of the important festivals of Basque cinema, the San Sebastian Festival.
