Biden has permitted sending an extra 1,000 troops to Afghanistan to help the continuing evacuation of embassy personnel from Kabul.
The US troops, which have been despatched to Kabul and whose numbers have reached roughly 5,000, may also help within the evacuation of Afghans who’ve assisted American troopers in Afghanistan for 20 years.
The Biden administration’s last-minute re-sending of hundreds of troopers to Afghanistan for evacuation was interpreted within the American press as “extraordinarily grave” within the safety scenario within the nation.
