The United Nations (UN) convoy hit a mine in Mali.

Olivier Salgado, Spokesperson of the UN Multidimensional Built-in Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), stated in a press release on his social media account that the logistics convoy of MINUSMA hit a mine on the street between Tessalit village and Gao metropolis, and that 2 troopers from the UN Peacekeeping Drive misplaced their lives. He acknowledged that certainly one of them was critically injured.

It was introduced that the troopers who misplaced their lives have been Egyptian nationals.

Stating that MINUSMA strongly condemns this attack, which can represent a warfare crime based on worldwide regulation, Salgado identified that terrorist teams and hand-made explosives are regularly used to undermine the mission’s operations and forestall a return to peace and stability.
