The Norwegian Joint Rescue Coordination Heart took motion after the Dutch-flagged ship ‘Eemslift Hendrika’ despatched a misery sign.
Rescue groups approached the ship, which was fighting the waves, by helicopter, and rescued 8 of the 12 crew members.
The captain, who remained on the ship with 3 sailors to struggle the large waves, was taken from the ship by the Norwegian rescue groups when the engines stopped.
Fearful moments had been recorded on the digicam second by second.

Norwegian media said that the engines of the ship had stopped and that if the ship carrying 350 tons of crude oil and 50 tons of diesel gas capsized, the ocean could be coated with oil.
