An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 occurred in the Tohoku area of northeastern Japan.
In response to the Japan Meteorological Company (JMA), the earthquake off Miyagi and Fukushima Prefecture occurred at 23:36 native time.
The depth of the earthquake was calculated as 60 kilometers.
