Today (Monday, December 14, 2020) South America shall be uncovered to a solar eclipse. Everybody on the trail of totality can see one of nature’s most impressive sights – a total solar eclipse.
This path, the place the moon utterly covers the solar and the solar’s faint environment – the corona – can be seen, stretches from Saavedra (Chile) to Salina del Eje (Argentina). Observers in southern Chile and Argentina exterior of this path will nonetheless see a partial solar eclipse with the moon overlaying half of the solar disk.

The Path of Totality has a median width of 90 km and everybody on the middle line of the Path of Totality has about 2 minutes, 10 seconds of total regardless of the climate.
