Quartz mountains, which are found in very few regions in the world, are very different from other mountains in the world in terms of their formation and current appearance. Quartz rocks and quartz deposits, which are the basic material of the Quartz Mountain, are the subject of research on the occurrence of earthquakes and attract the attention of researchers. The research, which is thought to provide important clues on many issues ranging from the construction of nuclear power plants, large factories and facilities in safe areas to the structural needs of large dams, is focused on quartz deposits. The top of the mountain can be fogged all day long. When the sun shines, it gets scorching. It is not clear when the weather will change here. There are also interesting puddles on the mountain. One of them draws attention with its appearance resembling a jacuzzi. Only in this region, the water is extremely cold. Your only chance is to have the sun and keep the cold to a minimum.
The strange belief of the locals
Years ago, a large tribe lived in Venezuela on the banks of the Kukenan and Tek rivers. These tribal branches lived around a giant tree reaching up to the sky. A young man from distant lands set out to see the root of a tree. He crossed the rainforest and reached the region where this tribe lived.
He fell in love with the daughter of the chief of the young tribe who came to the region. The chief objected to this relationship. He tied it to the trunk of the tree to kill two young men. The little fire that was lit to burn the young grew up with the spirits of the young people and covered the whole tree. When the tribe could not put out this fire, the whole tree was burnt to black and all its fruits were scattered around. After this fire, when the tree broke near the root, its trunk fell into the Canaima Region. The remaining root of this giant tree is the Roraima Quartz Mountain, and the trunk that falls to the Canaima Region is the Auyan Quartz Mountain.
The scattered fruits also formed other small quartz mountains. Very few people visit this impressive mountain. An example of this is that security measures cannot be taken completely. But that doesn’t stop adventurous travelers from climbing this unique mountain. The first person to climb the mountain is an Englishman, and nowadays, many mountaineers are trying to climb here, inspired by him. Many people are dying to see and experience this natural wonder.
