Second Russia resolution approved at UN


The UN Common Meeting, which held a rare session on the struggle in Ukraine, adopted the second resolution in opposition to Russia by 140 votes to five.

The resolution known as on Russia to “instantly” finish its struggle in Ukraine, not deny entry to help in Ukraine, and defend civilians.

Within the vote for the non-binding resolution, 38 nations abstained, whereas Russia, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea and Belarus opposed the resolution.

AGAIN 5 COUNTRIES AGAINST THE DECISION

Russia, which obtained a diplomatic blow for the second time by the UN, was condemned for its assaults on Ukraine within the vote held on 2 March at the UN Common Meeting.

The resolution, which obtained a standing ovation at the Common Meeting, was accepted by 141 votes to five. Whereas 35 nations abstained from the vote, Russia, Belarus, Syria, North Korea and Eritrea opposed the choice.
