WAGE CUT INTO EFFECT ON APRIL 1
The Pope determined to chop the salaries of cardinals and clergy to ensure that the workers within the Vatican to proceed their jobs.
In an announcement from the Vatican, it was said that the Pope signed the decree on wage cuts that may go into impact on April 1.
10 PERCENT CUT
Accordingly, the salaries of cardinals can be lower by 10 p.c, whereas the salaries of different clergy can be lower by 3 p.c to eight p.c.
In keeping with the decree, staff with low salaries can be exempt from deductions. It’s said that the deliberate wage will increase can be suspended till March 2023.
The salaries of the cardinals are estimated to be between 4-5 thousand euros.
