Scientists and girls entrepreneurs met on the panel titled ‘Girls’s Voice in Science’ organized by the Scientific and Technological Analysis Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).
Hosted by TÜBİTAK President Hasan Mandal, the panel was attended by METU Organic Sciences Division School Member Prof. Dr. Mayda Gürsel attended as a speaker.
METU Division of Organic Sciences Lecturer Prof. Dr. Mayda Gürsel gave details about the vaccine they developed with an area pharmaceutical firm beneath the roof of the Covid-19 Turkey Platform.
“WE HOPE TO START HUMAN CLINICAL STUDIES”
Emphasizing that the place of girls in science has gained significance due to the pandemic, Gürsel stated, “As a gaggle working beneath the TÜBİTAK Pharmaceutical Platform for domestic vaccines, now we have struggled day and night time with our younger researchers for 1 yr. It means rather a lot to me right this moment. As a result of now we have accomplished our group’s application to TITCK. I’m very happy that it coincides with 8 March Worldwide Girls’s Day. “I hope that if our application is accepted, we hope to begin human medical research very quickly. The initiation of Section 1 is a course of that’s as much as TITCK’s analysis. We await the end result with pleasure.” stated.
