In response to the data on the web site of the Catastrophe and Emergency Administration Presidency (AFAD), an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude was recorded at 01:43, the epicenter of which was the town of Hoy.

Whereas it was decided that the earthquake was at a depth of 5.24 kilometers, its epicenter was decided to be roughly 35 kilometers from the Özalp district of Van.
