Barzakh means “barrier, curtain and separating border between two issues” in the dictionary.
Its equal in non secular phrases is “life in the grave, which begins after dying and can proceed till the resurrection in the apocalypse”.
In the Qur’an, “Earlier than them there is a barzakh till the day when they are going to be resurrected.” This is what is meant by the “Barzakh” talked about in the verse (Mu’minun, 23/100). In line with this, everybody who dies will enter the realm of barzakh.
