Meijo College introduced that Akasaki, the primary inventor of LED lights, died within the metropolis of Nagoya, the place he was being handled for pneumonia, Kyodo information company reported.
Born in Kagoshima, Akasaki Isamu graduated from Kyoto College in 1952 and labored for the then Matsushita Electrical Industrial agency, recognized immediately as Panasonic.
WINS NOBEL AWARD FOR ITS INVENTION OF LED
Physicist Akasaki, who obtained the title of professor from Nagoya College in 1981, gained the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2014, due to the LED he invented.
Akasaki shared this award together with his colleagues, Japanese Amano Hiroshi and Japanese-American Nakamura Shuji.
