The Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a written assertion on the event of the seventh anniversary of the annexation of Crimea by Russia and acknowledged that it does not recognize the annexation.
In the written assertion written by the Ministry, it was underlined that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which is affiliated to Ukraine, was annexed by the Russian Federation with an illegitimate referendum.

In the assertion, “We reiterate that we do not recognize this de facto state of affairs, which constitutes a violation of worldwide legislation, and we reaffirm our help for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.” statements have been included.
Emphasis was positioned on the Crimean Turks
Pertaining to the Crimean Tatar Turks, who’re the most important aspect of Crimea, the assertion emphasised the security, well-being and safety of the cultural identification of the Turks dwelling in the area.

Lastly, in the assertion “We reiterate that we do not recognize this de facto state of affairs, which constitutes a violation of worldwide legislation, and we reaffirm our help for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.” It was underlined that Turkey will proceed to carefully monitor the developments in Crimea.
