French troopers stationed in Mali as a part of Operation Barkhane left the nation on 15 August.
The Elysee Palace stated that France will adhere to the aim of counterterrorism and stability in the Sahel, Gulf of Guinea and Lake Chad area.
Mali filed a complaint against France with the United Nations Safety Council (UNSC).
“France supplied intelligence to armed teams”
In a letter dated 16 August to the UNSC, Overseas Minister Abdoulaye Diop accused France of offering intelligence to and arming armed teams in the nation.
In his letter, Diop demanded an pressing assembly on the state of affairs in his nation, noting that their airspace was repeatedly violated by France.
