Jay Y. Lee, Samsung’s vice president, sentenced to no appeal

Jay Y. Lee, vice president of South Korea-based expertise firm Samsung, was accused of bribing bureaucrats with 16 million euros.

Lee was sentenced to 5 years in jail in 2017, after which his sentence was shortened and suspended after he denied the costs.

Lee, who was born in Washington state of the USA and has held varied positions at Samsung since 1991, was sentenced to 2.5 years in jail.


The Prosecutor’s Workplace introduced that the Seoul Excessive Court docket’s 2.5-year jail sentence for bribery won’t be appealed in opposition to Lee Jae-Yong, Samsung’s inheritor and vice chairman of the board.

Lee is anticipated to resume his publish after serving his sentence.
