In recent years, when the effects of climate change have begun to be seen frequently, environmental organizations working to produce alternative solutions have disagreed on the carbon solution produced.
Climate change is an issue that is tried to be taken not only by environmental organizations but also by governments. While many countries are working hard to reduce their emission emissions, large companies are working intensively for alternative energy sources. On the one hand, these studies are continuing, on the other hand, solutions are tried to be found for the amount of carbon emitted to the planet.
Scientists warn the whole world that global warming should not exceed 1.5 degrees in order to prevent major disasters on the planet. One of the ideas put forward in order not to cross this limit is to capture the emitted carbon, that is, to store it with different methods. Although most environmental organizations consider this method as an alternative solution, some argue that it is a risky and unnecessary method.
The group, which includes organizations such as Greenpeace, which advocates for the storage of carbon, argue that there is a need to get rid of one of the main factors causing global warming in this way. Organizations that propose to create underground storage areas claim that this can reduce the emissions on the planet rapidly. On the other hand, the group defending the opposite of the issue argues that this solution may lead to different potential dangers, that the stored carbon can be reused as oil and the damage will be even greater.
Although there is no agreement among environmental groups yet, there is one thing that both sides agree on: urgent action must be taken. Explaining that the factors that cause climate change are mostly caused by developed countries, but the consequences show their violence in less developed regions such as Africa, the groups invite everyone, especially the USA, to take action immediately.
