2 dead whales found in hull of warship in Australia

Two whales, one 20 meters and the opposite 7.6 meters, had been faraway from the hull of a Royal Australian Navy destroyer.

Officers mentioned it was not identified when the whales died, and the whales’ carcasses had been saved on the San Diego Naval Base.


John Calambokidis, a analysis biologist who research whale ship collisions, advised the press. “It is unhappy, but in addition not stunning. Within the overwhelming majority of circumstances I’m accustomed to, the ship is unaware that it has hit the whale.”(*2*) mentioned.


Launched in 2018, the 146-metre-long HMAS Sydney is a Hobart Class destroyer used for air protection, floor, submarine warfare and surveillance, with 180 sailors on board.
